Today is the full moon in Pisces. It’s also a blue moon. We call it that because it is the second full month in a month span. Earlier this month, August, we had the full moon in Aquarius. August felt like a sandwich cookie - full, new, full moon squished together.
I don’t have a full on recap on how this full moon is supposed to make you feel. I have realized over the course of a few weeks of writing that I am writing about a lot of things, but I’m also writing about things that I’m still learning - such as the moon and astrological cycles. Don’t get me wrong, I do a lot of charting and planning according to the rhythm of the moon and I also care and pay attention to astrological events, but I’m not an expert in this realm and I’m not sure that I ever will be, although I do promise to keep learning as I move forward in this witchy world that I’m living.
What I will say about this Pisces full moon and Virgo season is that astrologically Pisces is about water and emotions - they find truth and intuition in the large water ways that impact our emotions, while Virgo grounds us. I know I’ve found myself, as I’ve been on the road the past few days feeling ungrounded, exhausted, emotional, and unbalanced. I’m desperate to get home to my apartment to start doing another round of decluttering and clearning. Attempting to ground myself in whatever new beginnings and findings present themselves through this emotional labor. Remember, clearing our spaces of old items is the equivalent of shedding layers of ourselves. It allows for new things to take shape and place.
